The whole year I can successfully combine the job in a research institute and the PhD work in my native university. When I came back from Germany I went to another city to take part in the conference, and the whole time I was absent my bouth advisors stored up a lot of work for me to do. At the research institute we write a book and I have two my own chapters to make. At the university I have just wrote an article and an application for the grant, but today my advisor come to me and say: "Tomorrow you will have a report about your work at the first year you are a PhD, so you have to make a presentation. We will have a competition for new little grant next mounth, so by the end of next week you have to make a good and detailed report about our work in a lab. It is a competition among commerical projects to promote the investigation or to create a small innovative enterprise on the bases of university. I know, that at the end of this week you will get an in vitro results of your compounds, I am sure we will have an effective transfection, so you have to write a patent for this new substances and in parallel you have to write an article about our last results to the journal with high impakt-faktor".
Vau, so much paper work again!!! When I will start to work by hands, to do a new chemical reactions?...
